TRAINING HABITS TO ALWAYS REMEMBER

  • Don't blame the dog (train him!!!). Do not train when frustrated.
  • Train your dog - train accordingly. Deal with each problem. Example: If your training or marking ability and the dog breaks, work on being steady.....FORGET THE MARKS!!!
  • Simplify your training. Build from success....SIMPLIFY over using force.
  • Maintain balance of training, not too much of one idea.
  • Use low-level collar. Use attrition to teach first, then force with collar after dog understands what he did wrong.
  • Expect a high standard for your dog (lower expectations if necessary). Try to maintain the dog's standard.
