TRAINING HABITS TO ALWAYS REMEMBER
- Don't blame the dog (train him!!!). Do not train when frustrated.
- Train your dog - train accordingly. Deal with each problem. Example: If your training or marking ability and the dog breaks, work on being steady.....FORGET THE MARKS!!!
- Simplify your training. Build from success....SIMPLIFY over using force.
- Maintain balance of training, not too much of one idea.
- Use low-level collar. Use attrition to teach first, then force with collar after dog understands what he did wrong.
- Expect a high standard for your dog (lower expectations if necessary). Try to maintain the dog's standard.
